چکیده

We investigate coherent single-photon transport in a waveguide-QED structure containing two giant atoms. The unified analytical expressions of the scattering amplitudes applicable for different topological configurations are derived. spectroscopic characteristics parameter regimes, especially asymmetric Fano line shapes and electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT)-like spectra, analyzed detail. Specifically, we find that appearance is influenced by not only phase delays between coupling points but also topologies system. summarize general conditions EIT-like spectra analyzing master equation verify these checking corresponding spectra. These phenomena may provide powerful tools controlling manipulating photon future quantum networks.

Theory of single-photon transport in a single-mode waveguide. I. Coupling to a cavity containing a two-level atom

The single-photon transport in a single-mode waveguide, coupled to a cavity embedded with a two-level atom, is analyzed. The single-photon transmission and reflection amplitudes, as well as the cavity and the atom excitation amplitudes, are solved exactly via a real-space approach. It is shown that the dissipations of the cavity and of the atom, respectively, affect distinctively on the transpo...

Single-photon all-optical switching using waveguide-cavity QED

This manuscript demonstrates switching of a single signal photon by a single gating photon of a different frequency, via a cross-phase modulation. This effect is mediated by materials exhibiting electromagnetically-induced transparency (EIT), which are embedded in photonic crystals (PhC’s). An analytical model based on waveguide-cavity QED is constructed for our system, which consists of a PhC ...

Bright solitons in cavity-QED arrays containing two-level atoms

We examine the problem of polariton soliton formation in the array of weakly coupled optical cavities, each containing an ensemble of ultracold non-interacting two-level atoms. An effective complex Ginzburg-Landau equation (GLE) is derived in the continuum limit taking into account the effects of cavity field dissipation and atomic polarization dephasing. Bright solitons are found to be support...

Two-photon transport through a waveguide coupling to a whispering-gallery resonator containing an atom and photon-blockade effect

We investigate the two-photon transport through a waveguide side coupling to a whispering-gallery-atom system. Using the Lehmann-Symanzik-Zimmermann reduction approach, we present the general formula for the two-photon processes including the two-photon scattering matrices, the wave functions, and the second order correlation functions of the outgoing photons. Based on the exact results of the ...

Theory of single-photon transport in a single-mode waveguide. II. Coupling to a whispering- gallery resonator containing a two-level atom

We analyze the single-photon transport in a single-mode waveguide coupled to a whispering-gallery-type resonator interacting with a two-level atom. The single-photon transport properties such as the transmission and reflection amplitudes, as well as the resonator and the atom responses, are solved exactly via a real-space approach. The treatment includes the intermode backscattering between the...
